Nature Journals: Library Naturalist Hiking Series kick-off!

Saturday, January 2010:00—11:00 AMMeeting Room BCrawfordsville District Public Library205 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, IN, 47933

Join us for this premiere program from the Library Naturalist hiking series!  We will decorate our own personal nature journals, in preparation for this year-long series in nature programming!  Each month a new topic will be discussed, with a virtual online program and in-class portion, with hikes this summer.  We will work on the identification of different kinds of bats, and backyard songbirds, and tree identification during spring, fall, and winter.  We will also perform water bug identification to determine the water quality of Sugar Creek, and even explore for our own fossils in these field excursions!  Bring your journal each month to add to your nature notes.  Pens, colored pencils, and water paints will be provided in the classroom.  This is guaranteed to be an adventure beyond the library!

The classroom programs are geared towards adults and older teens.  Please, one registration per person.  Supplies are limited!  RSVP now!
